Looking for a live wedding painter in Europe? #destinationwedding
If you love ‘the old country’ as an American, and are looking for that romantic, artsy vibe for your destination wedding celebration, I am here to share the news that YES the live wedding painting trend has also landed in Europe. Actually, where I am based, the Netherlands, we’ve always had a strong painting tradition with top quality paint companies. And don’t forget the old Dutch masters like Vermeer and Rembrandt and progressive artists like Van Gogh and Mondrian.
The American wedding couple you see in the painting above married at the lovely Château de la Rocq, in Belgium, just south of Brussels. The first layers were painted on the day, live on location, while the couple and all of their guests could see the artwork come to life. Afterwards, I took it back home with me for lots of studio touch-ups, for that extra love and detailing. My painting style is romantic and realistic, and as a courtroom sketch artist I am specialised in portraits that resemble the actual people.
